A pair of USC transfers, quarterback Jaxson Dart and tight end Michael Trigg, were spotted on Instagram live earlier in the week sporting Oklahoma Sooners uniforms. Now, Trigg has tweeted a video from the duo’s visit to Norman.

Oklahoma is seen as one of the leading contenders to land Dart. The Sooners are one of three reported destinations in the mix for Dart, alongside Ole Miss and TCU.

Trigg and Dart were alongside one another to a visit to Ole Miss on Thursday. The two were roommates at USC, and were also with each other on the visit to Oklahoma. It appears as if Dart and Trigg are handling their decisions on where to transfer together.

Dart is one of the top players available in the portal, and his commitment will undoubtedly be a major pickup for whichever program he chooses. In 2021, Dart played in six games, completing 61.9 percent of his passes for 1,353 yards, 11 total touchdowns and five interceptions. Trigg caught seven passes for 109 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman.

Both Dart and Trigg were highly touted recruits in the 2021 recruiting cycle according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Dart was listed as a four-star and a top 50 national prospect, while Trigg was also a four-star and a top five tight end.

Lincoln Riley left Oklahoma to take over as USC’s head coach after the regular season. Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams is in the portal, and USC is a top landing spot for him. The Trojans would make sense for Williams if he is looking to reunite with Riley.

UCLA is another team with reported interest in Williams. The Trojans return Dorian Thompson-Robinson, but just lost out on Dillon Gabriel, who flipped to Oklahoma. With Gabriel with the Sooners, he has reunited with offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby. Adding Dart to the mix would complicate the Sooners’ quarterback room.

Decisions on where to transfer are likely to come over the next few weeks for Dart and Trigg, as well as Williams. The domino effect of quarterback transfers will be intriguing to follow as Dart and Williams decided where to play next season.
