After a career year with the Atlanta Hawks, Trae Young returned to Oklahoma to cheer on the Sooners today. Aside from seeing a victory, Young was on hand for one of the best interceptions you’ll ever see.

Luckily, the Oklahoma great had a front-row seat for the play — and his camera was rolling.

“Yo … DAWG SNATCHED THAT!” wrote Young in the caption.

Moreover, that dawg was D.J. Graham — who channeled his inner Odell Beckham Jr. on the play. Not only did the Oklahoma cornerback reel the ball in with one hand, he corkscrewed in mid-air while securing it.

On the play, Graham’s body control was on complete display. Evidently, that’s something Young can appreciate, as he’s used that same tactic to score points since he’s got into the NBA.

After the interception, Oklahoma maintained momentum on their way to a 23-16 victory over Nebraska. While it wasn’t the offensive onslaught Young is used to from his Sooners, the victory is what matters.

While Young’s Hawks fell short of the NBA Championship, his team still made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Moreover, the former Sooner point guard is hoping Oklahoma can at least reach the College Football Playoff Semifinals — something they’ve done multiple times in recent years.

Although they’ll have to play better than they did today, Oklahoma and quarterback Spencer Rattler hasn’t hit their stride yet. When they do, we’ll see if they can do one better than Young’s Hawks by making to the national championship.

Trae Young is used to making the highlight reel plays, but today he was a bystander as D.J. Graham showed his stuff. Still, it’s evident that where Young goes — so does the highlight reel.
