Former Virginia Tech offensive lineman Bob Schick signed with Oklahoma State out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He’ll be a Cowboy for 2025.

Schick started his career at Snow College before spending the last few years at Virginia Tech. He’ll now head to the Big 12 for his final season.

As a member of the Class of 2019, Schick was not ranked, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He played high school football at Wasatch High School out of Ephraim (Utah).

Bob Schick latest commit to Oklahoma State out of portal

Bob Schick was the latest commitment to Oklahoma State out of the transfer portal. Former North Carolina DB DeAndre Boykins committed last week.

Boykins played high school football at Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 335 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Over the past three seasons with North Carolina, Boykins has amassed 78 total tackles, eight PBUs, two sacks and one interception. His best season came in 2023, when he accumulated 67 total tackles, seven PBUs, two sacks and one interception. He’ll be hoping to match those numbers with the Cowboys.

In data gathered over the first two years with transfer windows, the NCAA found most athletes enter the portal within the first four weeks of the portal opening. The study showed that 73% of men’s and women’s basketball undergraduate athletes entered during the first four weeks. That increased to 82% for men and 86% for women in 2024.
