Mike Gundy press conference moved to zoom after being headbutted by a cow
It seems as though Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy needs to be added to the Cowboys injury report after being on the wrong end of a headbutt by a cow.
Gundy held his press conference on zoom on Monday, instead of doing it in person. He explained why.
“Well, I had a little run-in with my cattle over the weekend. And I guess they’ve been watching us play. And got headbutted. So I’ve got a bad eye that I didn’t think would be particularly enjoyable for people when they were looking at my pretty face in a live interview,” Mike Gundy said.
“But more importantly, it’s full of blood and I get dizzy, so it’s not easy to be upright and be in a normal function. But other than that I’m doing great.”
It’s good to hear that Mike Gundy has a sense of humor about what appears to be a pretty hard hit he suffered. He even joked that the cows were going after him with the way Oklahoma State is playing.
It has been a disappointing start to the season for the Cowboys, who are 3-3 on the year and 0-3 in Big 12 play.

Oklahoma State has dropped three straight games, losing to Utah, Kansas State and West Virginia.
The Cowboys had a bye this past week to try and get back on track. It remains to be seen if Oklahoma State will be able to do so or if the struggles from the first half of the season will continue.
Mike Gundy has been the head coach at Oklahoma State since 2005 and has had plenty of success, even if the Cowboys are struggling this year. Gundy has been named the Big 12 Coach of the Year three times and led the Cowboys to the 2011 Big 12 Championship.
He recently responded to fans who are frustrated with the way this season is going.
“My job is to pay attention to the game and not pay attention to the crowd,” Gundy said. “My job is to not talk to the fans. My job is to coach the team. That’s what my job is. Everybody that pays and comes to a game has a right to display whatever action they feel comfortable with. I don’t have an issue with that.”
