Oklahoma State has been in a back-and-forth duel in the first quarter vs. West Virginia.

After putting up just 53 yards of offense on their first three drives, the Cowboys offense found its rhythm with a methodical 58-yard drive in the second quarter which eventually reached the Mountaineers red zone.

From just outside the 10, Oklahoma State dialed up a fade to star wide receiver Tay Martin, and the senior pass catcher did the rest.

Oklahahoma State entered Saturday’s matchup ranked No. 11 by the College Football Playoff comittee. While West Virginia has proven it can compete with the top teams in the country, the Cowboys need today’s win to keep their postseason dreams alive.

“They’re the No. 11 team in the country, and they’ve earned that,” WVU head coach Neal Brown said ahead of the matchup. “If you go back to 2008, I think Mike Gundy has done just a tremendous job, and he’s stood the test of time. Credit to him and his staff, who many of them have been with him for a long time, to hold that up.”
