Oklahoma State linebacker Jeff Roberson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. He spent the past five seasons with the Cowboys and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Roberson finished this past season with a career-high 58 total tackles (8.5 for loss) along with three sacks, one interception and one pass defended. He appeared in 42 games across his five seasons in Stillwater, going from a special teams contributor to the team’s third-leading tackler in 2024.

As a recruit, Roberson was a three-star prospect out of Choctaw (OK) High School in 2020. He ranked as the No. 877 overall player and No. 97 linebacker in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Roberson played in four games as a true freshman with the Cowboys but did not record any stats as he took a redshirt. He returned the following year to play in 12 games and four tackles.

Unfortunately, Roberson would suffer an injury that caused him to miss the entire 2022 season as he took a medical redshirt. He came back from the injury in 2023 to play in all 14 games.

Roberson is the 14th player that Oklahoma State has lost through the transfer portal. The Cowboys have also added 19 players through the transfer portal and rank as the No. 55 team in On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.
