One of the top running backs in the 2025 cycle will head to Stillwater, Oklahoma next month.

Cox is the nation’s No. 287 overall prospect and No. 21 running back in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Oklahoma State is the fourth official visit to be scheduled for Cox. He will also visit Arizona State (April 19), SMU (May 17) and Kansas (June 7).
In-state program USC became a major player in Cox’s recruitment last month after offering the talented running back. Since then, Cox and Kiel McDonald have begun to build a solid relationship.

“I’ve always had a great relationship with Coach [Kiel] McDonald since he was at the University of Utah,” Cox told WeAreSC. “We stayed in contact since then, always asking my coaches about how I am doing. We continued to talk this whole week and then once we had the whole family together, he offered. It’s always been a school in my head since I was a little kid. It’s just a blessing to know I have an offer to such a prestigious university in my home state.”
Cox says McDonald told him why he loves him as a prospect.
“He told me he loved how balanced my game is,” Cox said. “I am a very versatile back. I am able to run outside or cut up, lower my shoulder and show my physicality. He said I remind him of many great backs such as Bryce Love.”
