Oklahoma State’s Kobe Hylton has entered the NCAA transfer portal. On3’s Pete Nakos reported the news.

Hylton just finished his lone season in Stillwater after transferring in last cycle after a pair of seasons at UTEP. He has also made stops in his collegiate career at Louisiana, Northeastern Oklahoma Community College, and Long Island where he has, in total, made 43 appearances. Now, with a redshirt while with the Ragin Cajuns as well as the pandemic year, he will have another season of eligibility to use elsewhere at what will be his fifth program.

With the ‘Pokes this fall, Hylton posted 40 tackles, which was seventh-most on their defense, along with a pair of deflections and an interception. This comes after two years with the Miners where he was an honorable mention for All-Conference USA. So, in total over the past three seasons in the FBS, Hylton has had 185 tackles, nine deflections, four forced fumbles, the interception, and half a sack.

Hylton will now be the 14th departure of this portal cycle for the Cowboys. He joins WRs De’Zhaun Stribling and Ty Walls, OT Isaia Glass, IOL Jason Brooks, RB AJ Green, DE Jaedon Foreman, CB De’Kelvion Beamon, and P Hudson Kaak along with five other safeties in Lyrik Rawls, Tywon Wray, Willie Nelson, Kam Franklin, and Kendal Daniels in transferring from Oklahoma State. Five of those have since committed elsewhere in Glass (Vanderbilt), Stribling (Ole Miss), Rawls (Kansas), Brooks (Houston), and Kaak (Auburn).

In turn, the ‘Pokes have added 13 players in the portal. Only one of those is a safety, though, in Mordecai McDaniel (Charlotte).
