3-star quarterback Zane Flores commits to Oklahoma State
Gretna (Neb.) High School three-star quarterback Zane Flores has committed to Oklahoma State after a visit to Stillwater this weekend, he announced on Twitter.
He is the No. 685 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 36 quarterback and the No. 5 junior prospect in Nebraska.
On3, however, rates him as the No. 20 quarterback in the class. Lincoln (Neb.) East four-star athlete Malachi Coleman is the lone recruit from Nebraska ranked ahead of him by On3.
Flores has been Gretna’s starting quarterback since his freshman year. He is the first known freshman to start varsity for the Dragons in school history, according to On3’s Jeremy Crabtree. Gretna was the 2021 Nebraska Class A state champion led by Flores, as they took down Omaha Westside in the finals. As a junior, Flores threw for 2,885 yards and 26 touchdowns.
