3-star RB Chris Davis decommits from Ole Miss
Picayune (Miss.) Memorial three-star running back Chris Davis has decommitted from Ole Miss, he announced on Monday.
He previously committed to the Rebels in March over Florida State, Oregon and Mississippi State, among others.
“This by far has been one of the hardest decisions that I’ve ever had to make,” he wrote on Twitter. “After a lot of prayer and several conversations with my family. I have come to the conclusion, that it is in my best interest to reopening my recruitment. I am formally announcing my Decommitment from Ole Miss. Ole Miss is a great place and definitely still at the top of the list. I just have to make sure, that I am doing what is best for me. With that being said, my recruitment is 1000% back open… God’s Timing, not mine!!!!”
Davis is the No. 562 overall prospect and No. 44 running back in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 17 player in Mississippi.
