4-star DL Kamarion Franklin commits to Ole Miss
Lake Cormorant (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin has committed to Ole Miss.
He chose the Rebels over Auburn, Miami and Tennessee.
Franklin is the No. 39 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 DL and No. 1 player in Mississippi.

Franklin took eight visits to Oxford over the course of his recruitment, including five trips in 2023 alone. His latest visit was on June 20.
“They’re telling me I’m a priority. They said they’re going to make it hard for me leave Ole Miss and Mississippi, period,” Franklin told On3 in July. “They’re going to do everything they can to keep me home. They want to show me why Ole Miss is the place to be.”

Franklin has an NIL Valuation of $167K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Rebels building bigger class in Oxford
Franklin becomes Ole Miss’ highest-ranked player in its 2024 class. Of the 20 pledges, he is the lone recruit to rank inside the top 100 overall. He’s the fifth four-star in the class, joining Bay Springs (Miss.) DL Kamron Beavers, Pascagoula (Miss.) DL Jeffery Rush, Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Hillcrest safety Travaris Banks and Ellisville (Miss.) JUCO transfer linebacker Raymond Collins.
The Rebels’ class jumps from No. 28 to No. 23 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking. It’s the No. 12 class in the SEC, ahead of Mississippi State, Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt. Last cycle, Ole Miss finished with the No. 26 class in the country.
