4-star WR Dillon Alfred commits to Ole Miss for a second time
On April 9, Dillon Alfred committed to Ole Miss. Then on June 24, the four-star wide receiver out of Saraland (Ala.) decommitted from the Rebels. After visits to Clemson and Ole Miss in recent days, Alfred has decided to commit to Lane Kiffin for a second time.
He spent much of the weekend in Oxford after visiting Clemson on Thursday and Friday. When he was at Death Valley, he started to get that feeling about Ole Miss again.
“When I was at Clemson, I just kept thinking about Ole Miss,” Alfred told On3. “While on the visit, I was walking around the field trying to imagine myself there and it wasn’t the same vibe as I have had at Ole Miss. Clemson is a great school, and I knew I liked it, but the feeling just wasn’t the same.”
When he got to Ole Miss, things went extremely well and he was ready to place his name back on the Ole Miss commitment list.
“It was a big visit for me and my family. We got back on campus, everything settled down and I knew I wanted to come back home. We had a great time, we had some great conversations with the coaches and everyone kept it real.

Ole Miss’ consistency paid off with Alfred
The buzz quickly shifted to Clemson after Alfred opened his recruitment up last month, but the staff in Oxford never wavered. That paid off in the end.
“Ole Miss kept showing love,” Alfred said. “They stayed in contact and that meant a lot. From day one, Ole Miss has been there and shown mad love.
“I have been there so many times and it has felt like home for me from the time they offered. The feeling I get every time I step on campus is home. The vibe with the coaches, the players, the campus and everyone there is different.
“Home is home. Ole Miss is it for me.”
