Alabama transfer WR Caleb Odom commits to Ole Miss
Alabama Crimson Tide transfer wide receiver Caleb Odom has committed to take his talents to Oxford, joining the Ole Miss Rebels via the NCAA Transfer Portal after one season in Tuscaloosa.
The Carrollton (Ga.) native was one of the crown jewels of Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class, which ranked No. 2 nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking.
Odom was tabbed as a five-star prospect and the country’s No. 30 overall recruit by On3, but was unable to crack the two-deep during his lone year in Tuscaloosa due to a deep crop of receivers.
He has appeared in every game, but caught just seven passes for 65 yards — and tallied no receptions in SEC play. Despite that, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound playmaker was among the most sought-after players in the country once he entered the transfer portal.
Looking ahead, Caleb Odom will have three years of eligibility remaining at Ole Miss, should he finish out his collegiate career with the Rebels.

Lacy saw limited action for the Tigers this past season, appearing in six games. He recorded 104 yards rushing on 23 carries to go along with a pair of catches for nine yards.
Lacy played high school football for Lancaster (TX), where he was a four-star prospect. He ranked as the No. 184 overall player and No. 16 running back in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Lacy is the only running back that Ole Miss has added so far. His addition is a big one with Rashad Amos and Jason Albritton both having already entered the portal for the Rebels, while leading rusher Henry Parrish also exhausted his eligibility.
That should open up the door for Lacy to carve out a decent role for himself on an Ole Miss team that finished 9-3 and is looking to compete in the SEC again in 2025.
