The 6-foot-3, 190 pounder had been committed to the Rebels since August.
Jackson sent a statement to On3 regarding his decommitment:
After a discussion with my parents and coaches, I have made the difficult decision to decommit from the University of Mississippi.
While I am grateful to Coach Lane and the entire staff for the opportunity, I have determined it is best for my future to reopen my recruitment at this time.

Scouting Summary
On3’s Ranking and Scouting Team writes about him as a prospect:
“Developmental quarterback prospect with arm talent and upside that stands out in the 2024 cycle. Measured in at a shade under 6-foot-3 and around 185 pounds prior to his senior season. Sports a 10-inch hand. Flashed a very strong arm on the camp circuit in the spring prior to his senior year. Also showed that arm talent as a first-year starter in 2022. Makes high level throws that belie his lack of varsity experience. Hits small window passes under duress. The ball comes out of his hand cleanly and with velocity. Navigates the pocket well, stepping up rather than flushing to either side. Has the functional mobility to elude pass rushers and pick up yards with his legs on scrambles and designed runs. Completed around 59% of his passes for 1,553 yards and 16 touchdowns against seven interceptions as a junior. Will need to grow as a player and increase his production as a senior. Younger for the cycle, with a late August birthday. Younger than many 2026 blue-chip quarterbacks.”
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $72K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
