Coming off an Egg Bowl win that gave Ole Miss its 10th win of the season, quarterback Jaxson Dart knows that there are good vibes around the program.

Dart explained his take on the vibes around the Ole Miss program, praising the atmosphere and attention the team is getting and explaining that it should have a major impact on players wanting to come and play for Ole Miss.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Jaxson Dart said. “I think that when you’re on the verge of doing something that a school’s never done before you’re playing at a really high level as a team, I think that definitely catches the national eye.”

With a win in the Peach Bowl, Ole Miss would win its 11th game for the first time in program history. It would also be the program’s first Peach Bowl win since 1971.

“And Coach [Lane] Kiffin and all our coaching staff as a whole make this a really exciting place to be,” Dart continued. “Like I said earlier, it catches a lot of people’s eye and a lot of people want to come here, even if they weren’t really aware of Ole Miss when they were getting recruited out of high school, I think everybody is now. Like I said, it’s a great place to be and there’s definitely a lot of excitement and momentum here.”

Even with how good the vibes are around Ole Miss, Jaxson Dart was still vague about his future. He explained that, for now, his focus is on the Peach Bowl. There, Ole Miss will take on Penn State. This is the first time the two programs will have ever played one another.

“Yeah as of right now I’m really just focused on the bowl game,” Dart said. “We’re going to take that decision as a family decision. There’s a time and place for that, but right now I’m just fully focused on the bowl game and winning this game.”

Jaxson Dart gives impressions of Penn State defense

Ahead of the Peach Bowl, Jaxson Dart shared his thoughts on the Penn State defense that has been one of the best statistical defenses in the country this season.

“Obviously they’re elite,” Dart said.

“They’re one of the best defenses in the country. Got a lot of speed. They’re long, especially at the linebacker position, and they’re explosive on the edges. [They] have great corners and their DBs as a whole have been playing at a really high level.”
