Elite 2024 DL Kamarion Franklin commits to Ole Miss
Elite 2024 defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin of Lake Cormorant (MS) High announced his commitment to Ole Miss Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot-5, 265 pounder chose the Rebels over Miami, Tennessee, and Auburn.
“The opportunity to put on for my home state and put my state on notice,” Franklin said. “The relationships I have developed at Ole Miss is also what led to this decision. My ability to impact my state is major and I’m ready to put on for it!”
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.
“I’m close with coach Joyner and Pete Golding,” Franklin said. “They plan on using me as a defensive end. My relationship is good with Golding and Joyner because I have been in contact with them since my sophomore year, and we just kept building on that.”
The Magnolia State defensive lineman joins coach Lane Kiffin and the Rebels’ top 25 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star defensive lineman Kamron Beavers, four-star defensive lineman Jeffery Rush, and others.

Scouting Summary
On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:
“Edge defender that projects to DT who wreaks havoc on opposing offenses with his get off and brute strength,” On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “Ran an electronically-timed 5.28 40 and jumped a 25” vertical in the spring prior to his junior season. A two-sport athlete who also plays basketball. Disruptive off the edge and lives in the backfield. Totaled 11 sacks as a junior. Instinctive and heady player for a sophomore. Has some hip stiffness but makes up for it with foot speed and play recognition.”
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $167K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
