The Ole Miss Rebels have brought their bats to Omaha in the 2022 College World Series on Friday night. Kevin Graham just blasted a solo shot that just seemed to keep on carrying, all the way over the wall and over the outstretched glove of Auburn freshman outfielder Mike Bello.

Check out the blast here.

The solo shot put the Rebels up 3-0 in the third inning. It was an excellent effort by Bello, but he drilled into the wall right at the end but ended up being okay. Kemp Alderman scored the other two runs for Ole Miss in the first inning.

Ole Miss team punched their tickets to the College World Series this year for the first time since 2014. The Rebels advanced to Omaha after completing a sweep of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the Hattiesburg Super Regional by a combined score of 15-0.

The solo home run by Graham gives him 11 homers on the year and 47 RBIs. Tonight’s game is nationally televised on ESPN2 and currently the Rebels still lead 5-0 in the top of the sixth inning.

The winner of Saturday night’s matchup will advance to face the Arkansas Razorbacks on Monday, after they whipped Stanford earlier on Saturday, 17-2.

Ole Miss head football coach Lane Kiffin made the trek to Omaha to support his team. He posted a picture earlier tonight on Twitter once his plane landed.

Before battling on the bubble just to make the NCAA Tournament, Ole Miss was once the No. 1 ranked team in the nation this season. The Rebels won 13 of their first 14 games and landed atop all the polls early in the year. Major losses to Alabama and Tennessee threw their postseason hopes into question but they rallied late to work their way into the Coral Gables Regional.

Now, they’re in the 2022 College World Series, along with TexasArkansasOklahomaTexas A&MNotre DameStanford, and Auburn.
