Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin shared a mic’d up moment from practice on Wednesday, which features the coach discussing Taylor Swift’s new album Midnights with quarterback Jaxson Dart.

“Taylor Swift lyrics helping the youth of America and reminding Jaxson Dart to not stare directly at the sun,” Kiffin tweeted with hashtags “antihero” and “lyrics.”

The Rebels skipper refers to lyrics in Swift’s song ‘Anti-Hero.’

“I’ll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror,” the Swift song goes. “It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero.”

Dart doesn’t seem familiar with the hit song but noted in the video that his girlfriend loves it.

Midnights has broken records already, including a shocking Billboard Top 100 record. Swift’s songs are currently dominating the charts with 10 songs from the album ranking 1-10 in the top 100. The outlet revealed that it is the first time in the chart’s 64-year history that one artist has all top-10 spots. ‘Anti-Hero’ is No. 1 on the list, followed by ‘Lavender Haze.’

Although Taylor Swift’s music is rocking the nation, it’s not the soundtrack you’d typically hear at football practice. However, the Rebels are on a bye week following their 31-28 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday.

Kiffin, Rebels prepare for Alabama during bye

Ole Miss piled up 530 total yards of offense in the win thanks to a strong effort up front. Running back Quinshon Judkins ran for 205 yards on 34 carries on Saturday. He set the freshman rushing records for single-season yardage total and rushing touchdowns. Dart threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Next up, Dart and the Rebels take on Alabama on Nov. 12 for an afternoon kickoff.

On Wednesday, Lane Kiffin shut down questions regarding the open Auburn job. Though he didn’t provide a direct comment on the situation, the Ole Miss head coach said he is “extremely happy here.”
