Lane Kiffin gets trolled by his own son after trip to see USC, Lincoln Riley
Sometimes it be your own family, Lane Kiffin.
In a hilarious turn of events, Kiffin’s son took a trip to visit Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans. Of course, Kiffin used to coach in Los Angeles, and it may have a leg up if Kiffin’s son ever becomes a college football player.
Check out the Ole Miss coach’s hilarious revelation below, complete with photo evidence and a one-liner for the ages.
“(face palm emoji). Who would of thought??? Thanks for taking good care of him and his buddy Hud @LincolnRiley. He said your are his new favorite USC coach ever. My own son trolling me (laughing face emoji) @USC_Athletics,” tweeted Kiffin.
Now Kiffin does his fair-share of trolling, but it’s rare he gets it back in such crushing fashion. It took his own son to do it to him.
Well, at least he’s not posing in Tuscaloosa. While Kiffin may love Nick Saban, Ole Miss faithful may not be able to stomach a love affair with Alabama.
Lane Kiffin’s son may be in for some serious grounding when he gets back from Los Angeles, but at least it made for a legendary moment.
Lane Kiffin reveals how social media barbs impact collegiality among coaches at SEC Spring Meetings
Of course, Lane Kiffin is never afraid to take a few shots on Twitter, especially in the direction of Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher. Sometimes, Kiffin decides to be subtle with his tweets; other times, he just directly posts articles bashing the Aggies. One thing is fore sure, he defends Nick Saban a ton as well

Social media is one thing but every year, the 14 SEC head coaches are in the same room during Spring Meetings in Destin. Kiffin was asked if there is ever any lingering awkwardness and he quickly dismissed the thought. Even a year ago during the peak of Fisher vs. Saban, everyone is just there to do their jobs.
“I’ve said this before,” Kiffin began. “That room is different than what you guys probably picture it as being. Even last year with the Jimbo, Nick stuff. It’s not like that in there. We have jobs and part of it is whatever we do in front of the camera or out there on the field and stuff.
“That’s just part of the job. It’s much different in there, for the most part, with coaches and doing over years and seeing coaches have spats. They’re usually pretty good in there.”
There were plenty of topics to discuss at Spring Meetings this year and Kiffin’s Twitter usage is most likely not one of those. Everyone is just trying to do what’s best for their program and the SEC. Even so, it’s still something Kiffin decides to have fun with.
