Lane Kiffin is a proven head coach. Who knew he was a proven rock star, as well?

In a story by Trey Wallace at OutKick, Ole Miss fans saw their beloved football coach testing his hand at something new. That hand was shredding a guitar.

While Kiffin is an outspoken head coach, he isn’t typically willing to hop on stage and do his best Axl Rose impression. Nonetheless, when his daughter Landry asked him to perform at her graduation party, he couldn’t say no.

“When Landry asked me to stay at Ole Miss for her, I did. When she asked me to get on stage for her, I did. High school graduation party in the backyard,” Kiffin told OutKick’s Trey Wallace.

Yes, you read that first part correctly. According to Kiffin, his daughter Landry is a significant reason the desired coach decided to sign a six-year deal this offseason to remain at Mississippi. Kiffin heavily considered joining Auburn, a powerhouse program. Yet, something held him back.

“I’ve made a lot of decisions in my life based on what served me first, that’s where the major change came. Realizing it’s not about me, it’s about [Landry],” Lane Kiffin said to OutKick.

Landry isn’t the only one informing Kiffin’s decisions. Kiffin’s son, Knox, loves the town, too. Not too mention, Kiffin’s house has become the resident hangout spot for the 315 Family Crew, otherwise known as Landry’s friend group.

After all, who wouldn’t want to hang out with Kiffin? The 48-year-old head coach’s Twitter profile tells you all you need to know, filled with inspiration, humor and the occasional troll attempt. Kiffin’s fans love his personality on and off the field. His rockstar alter-ego was no exception.

“Cool thing to do for your daughter and her friends. You’re a great Dad,” one user wrote.

“So so cool, Lane and Layla on stage together!! Great parents. Lucky kids,” another follower added.

Ole Miss fans are hoping they can be as lucky. After losing their four final games of last season, the Rebels are under pressure. However, with a rock star like Lane Kiffin by their side, they have a better chance of rolling to victory.
