LOOK: Lane Kiffin inquires about pet friendliness of College World Series following Ole Miss Super Regional win
After Ole Miss punched its ticket to the College World Series on Sunday, Rebels football coach Lane Kiffin had an important question. Kiffin wanted to know whether dogs were allowed in the ballpark in Omaha, as he has been taking his four-legged friend, Juice, all over the place this summer.
Juice first made his appearance at SEC Spring meetings in May, where he was ultimately sent home after the the realization that the hotel the coaches planned to stay in was not pet-friendly. It seems that Kiffin is hoping to bring Juice with him to cheer on the Rebels baseball team in the CWS, but wants to avoid making the same mistake as last time.
The arrival of Juice took the college football world by storm, with the dog even getting his own Twitter account. That has led to plenty of offseason fun, with Juice tweeted on topics ranging from in-state rival Mississippi State to NIL. He would certainly be a welcome addition in Omaha for Rebels faithful.
Ole Miss reached the College World Series following a 5-0 shutout of Southern Miss on Sunday. It was the second straight shutout for the Rebels after they also handed the Golden Eagles a 10-0 loss in the Super Regional opener on Saturday.
Hunter Elliott got the start at pitcher and was a major part of Sunday’s victory. He pitched 7.1 innings, allowing just three hits and striking out 10 to earn the victory. Josh Mallitz entered to relieve him in the eighth after Elliot gave up two of his three hits.

The College World Series appearance is the sixth in program history for Ole Miss, though it has never won the tournament. In their last appearance in 2014, the Rebels went 2-2 and were one of the final four teams remaining before losing to Virginia.
This year in the CWS, Ole Miss will first draw a matchup with the winner of the Auburn–Oregon State Super Regional. Auburn claimed the first game of that series and will have a chance to close things out at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday.
We can count on Lane Kiffin being at the College World Series to cheer the Rebels on for that game, and hopefully he can bring Juice along for the ride as well.
