Lane Kiffin never misses a good trolling opportunity on social media, and the Ole Miss head football coach was on his game Friday morning.

Still enjoying the spoils of the Rebels’ dominating 52-20 win over Duke in Thursday night’s TaxSlayer Gator Bowl from Jacksonville, Fla., Kiffin doubled-down on his prior day’s viral interaction with an anonymous fan by taking a picture of his college-aged daughter, Landry, standing in front of a Chili’s restaurant.

“We covered for Landry so …,” Kiffin captioned the picture, a direct reference to his interaction with an anonymous X user with the handle “coldcallsniper,” who presumptuously offered to take Landy Kiffin, an Ole Miss student, “on a date to my local Chilis” if the Ole Miss didn’t cover the 17.5-point spread vs. Duke

Lane Kiffin responded with a sharp “She isn’t a Chilis girl” with a laughing emoji.

The overzealous “coldcallsniper” wasn’t to be deterred and fired back with: “Fine, I’ll settle for you and me go there and talk transfer portal talent over some beers then.”

It’s at this point that Landry joined in on the social media fun with her own retort mirroring her father’s: “He isn’t a beer guy.”

The X/Twitter back-and-forth drew plenty of attention Thursday, and showed the lighter side of the Kiffins, both of whom are quite active on social media.

Lane Kiffin takes parting shot at College Football Playoff committee after Gator Bowl win over Duke

Since the final College Football Playoff rankings came out last month, Lane Kiffin hasn’t hid his displeasure about Ole Miss’ absence. Following Thursday’s Gator Bowl win over Duke, he had one more message for the selection committee in him.

Kiffin took a parting shot at the committee as Ole Miss completed the 52-20 victory over Duke, saying the omission fueled the Rebels. He saw a team that wanted to send a message, and he thought the Rebels did just that.

Ole Miss came in as the No. 14-ranked team in the final CFP rankings. That made the Rebels one of the first teams out of the 12-team bracket.

“Glad the way our guys played today,” Kiffin told ESPN’s Taylor McGregor. “The quarterback played really well, the defense did. They made a statement to a committee that left them out that, ‘Hey, here’s an ACC team that won nine games,’ and came out and played extremely well. I think that was really important for them to come out and make a statement like that.”
