Lane Kiffin reacts to Jimbo Fisher complaining about NIL, transfer portal
A year after landing by far and away the No. 1 recruiting class in college football in the 2022 cycle, Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher revealed that he doesn’t like how that process has changed since the new transfer and NIL rules were put into place. He outlined why, with this quote:
“I knew eventually there would be pay-for-play, but I did not know it would be NIL like it came about. The problem with all of it is that there is no consistency and rules. And then when you get into the Transfer Portal, there is so much tampering going on, it is utterly ridiculous. It is a joke. It’s an absolute joke. We are only in college football.”
Clearly, he has problems with the direction college football is headed, where tampering, transfers and NIL money will run amuck. It’ll be a circus, and Jimbo Fisher was no part in it.

However, after that quote from Fisher got out, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin had a quick and funny response:
A palm to the face for a college football coach making $9 million annually saying that the way players are being paid is out of control.
