Lane Kiffin trolls Alabama fans after Caleb Odom commitment
Wednesday night, Lane Kiffin got a transfer portal commitment from an SEC rival. Former Alabama wide receiver Caleb Odom committed to Ole Miss – and the Rebels head coach had some receipts.
Kiffin reposted a video of Odom working out, and the account – @DiehardsAlabama – said Odom “is going to be a problem” for the Crimson Tide. The receiver entered the portal Dec. 10, and Wednesday night, he announced he’s heading to Oxford.
Kiffin found that post, and he reposted it onto his timeline. He also shared plenty of posts about Odom’s commitment to Ole Miss, which marks the latest high-profile portal addition for the Rebels.
Odom appeared in all 12 games as a true freshman, hauling in seven receptions for 65 yards. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after entering the portal, and he joins a growing transfer class at Ole Miss.
Odom played high school football at Carrollton (Ga.), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 54 overall player from the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. After entering the portal, Odom came in as the No. 73 overall player and No. 18-ranked wide receiver in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Caleb Odom is the 10th commitment for Ole Miss through the early part of the transfer window. Lane Kiffin and the Rebels continue to balance the high school recruiting trail with transfer additions. Former Nebraska EDGE Princewill Umanmielen is the headliner of the group so far, checking in as the No. 8-ranked player in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.
Umanmielen spent two years at Nebraska, arriving as a notable recruiting win for Matt Rhule, before entering the transfer portal Dec. 9 when the window opened. This past season, he totaled 13 tackles, three tackles for loss and a half-sack. That came after an impressive freshman season in Lincoln when he had 22 tackles, five tackles for loss and a sack while playing on the defensive line.
A week into the transfer window, it’s safe to say Ole Miss is on its way to being a big winner once again. The Rebels held the No. 2-ranked class as of Wednesday night, according to the On3 Team Transfer Portal Index.
