Michigan transfer DB Amorion Walker commits to Ole Miss
The Ole Miss Rebels have landed a commitment from Michigan transfer defensive back Amorion Walker, as he’ll take his talents to Oxford.
He has played both wide receiver and defensive back during his time with the Wolverines. In his two seasons with Michigan, Walker played in 12 games. This year, he played in five games, tallying three tackles and one pass breakup.
Walker played his high school football for Ponchatoula High School (2022), where he led them to a 12-1 overall record and the 5A state runner-up finish his senior year. He only played in three games his junior year due to injury (hamstring). Walker was part of a team that went 6-5 his sophomore year in 2019.
He was a two-way player for the Greenwaves, hauling in eight catches for 143 yards and a touchdown in the state championship game. He Walker also hauled in 111 receiving yards with three touchdowns on three catches in one game in the regular season. As a sophomore, he hauled in 23 catches for 489 yards and two touchdowns.
As a high school prospect, he was rated as the No. 470 overall player in the country in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
