Heading into the third year of the Lane Kiffin era at Ole Miss, the Rebels are one of 10 SEC schools currently predicted to secure a record above .500. The Las Vegas oddsmakers have started breaking things doing game-by-game, recently releasing point spreads for the Rebs’ games versus Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and LSU.

Lane Kiffin and his squad travel to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech on Sept. 17 for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. The cross-conference rivals have a 10-point spread with the Rebels tabbed as the favorites.

Despite LSU undergoing a coaching change this offseason, the Tigers are the early favorites for their Oct. 22 date versus Ole Miss. Kiffin’s guys are +2.5 with less than two months to go before the season opener.

Lastly, for the Egg Bowl, the Rebels are -5.5. They won the last two rivalry matchups with Mississippi State by a touchdown or more.

Ole Miss has a very favorable start to the season with all four non-conference games in September and then starting SEC play against Kentucky and Vanderbilt. The FPI also agrees Ole Miss could become bowl eligible by Oct. 8 if things go by the numbers.

For the final five games Ole Miss’ schedule, they are the favorites in only one of them – the 2022 Egg Bowl against Mississippi State. Ole Miss has a 63.3 percent chance of beating the Bulldogs in Oxford come Thanksgiving night.

If the FPI is correct then Ole Miss will close out the season on a 1-4 skid with losses to LSU, AlabamaTexas A&M and Arkansas. The closest matchup is at Arkansas, nearly a 50-50 split. The Razorbacks have a 50.3 chance to come away with the win in Fayetteville.

The easiest game on Lane Kiffin’s slate is the Sept. 10 game against Central Arkansas. The Rebs have a 98.5 percent chance to beat the Bears.

To the shock of absolutely nobody, Ole Miss’ toughest game is against Alabama. The Nov. 12 showdown of SEC West contenders has the game going the Crimson Tide’s way with an 82.5 percent chance of victory.
