WATCH: Ole Miss lands coveted transfer commitment from former UCF receiver Jaylon Robinson

Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss have landed another highly-rated player from the transfer portal. Former UCF receiver Jaylon Robinson will transfer to Ole Miss for the 2022 season, he announced Sunday via Twitter. Robinson posted a video that featured a clip from his visit to Oxford this offseason, as well as highlights from last season and shots of him in a Rebels uniform.
The first clip shown is of Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin getting ready to drop Robinson off after chauffeuring him around for the day. Their conversation sets up the major announcement that is to come seconds later in the video.
“I only have one request after I drop you off,” Kiffin says.
“What’s that?” Robinson asks.
“You gotta transfer to the ‘Sip,” Kiffin replies, pulling out his t-shirt from his chest so the Rebels logo can be seen.
Robinson was sidelined much of last year due to injury, appearing in just six games for the Knights. Prior to that in 2020, he had his best statistical season to finish with 55 catches for 979 yards and a touchdown. This will be the third team for the receiver throughout his college career, as he began his journey at Oklahoma in 2018.

When Robinson joined the Sooners, he was considered a three-star recruit and the No. 451 overall player in the class according to On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average. He didn’t do much in his lone season in Norman, catching just three passes for 28 yards before announcing his intent to transfer.
Jaylon Robinson is ranked as the 11th best receiver in the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings. The Rebels ultimately landed him over Tennessee and Miami, and the one-time On3 Consensus four-star prospect took visits to Ole Miss, Tennessee and TCU. Georgia also showed interest, however, the Bulldogs were not able to get Robinson on campus.
He is set to make his Rebels debut on Sept. 3, when Ole Miss will host Troy in its season opener.
