Ole Miss lands 'strong and dynamic' RB in Quinshon Judkins
Pike Road (Ala.) running back Quinshon Judkins was down to three — Auburn, Notre Dame and Ole Miss.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound three-star has committed to Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels.
Judkins head coach feels his star player will thrive in the Ole Miss offense.
“I think Ole Miss is a great fit for Quinshon,” Patrick Browning said. “They do a lot of zone reads, and Quinshon is very familiar with that and good at that. That is perfect for me.
“We run our offense out of the shotgun here at Pike Road like they do at Ole Miss, so he is very comfortable with that. Overall, I really like the fit.
“Quinshon catches the ball well out of the backfield, he is strong in pass protection, and he will fit right in there. I can he do really well in their system.”
Quinshon Judkins is strong, dynamic RB
The new Ole Miss commit has rushed for over 2,500 yards and scored a total of 44 touchdowns over the last two seasons. Quinshon Judkins missed a few games to start this season due to a strained groin, but he is back, and he scored three touchdowns last week.
Browning feels he will be ready for the SEC.
“He is a physical running with vision and strength,” Browing said. “I like his vision, I like his cutting ability, and I think his size will be good as he enters college.
“Quinshon is an all-around running back. He moves well laterally, he is strong, and I think his game will translate well on the next level.
“The weight room will have him ready too. He is very strong. He works out hard and he will be ready.”
There is still more for Ole Miss to develop
Quinshon Judkins is built like a college running back now. He runs hard, he loves the weight room, and he is productive, but he is far from a finished product.
“The ceiling is really high,” Browning said. “He gets a great weight program now, but he will get a college weight program now, and even more, he will get a great nutrition program.

“I think eating right and getting the proper nutrition will be big for Quinshon. He may be able to gain a little more weight, get a little stronger, and get faster. It will be big for him.”
Browning sees the talent around him as something else that will bring the best out of Judkins.
“When he gets to Ole Miss, it will be a different atmosphere. It will be very competitive. I expect the talent there to really push him to be even better.
“I see him being pushed to the edge when he gets guys like him all around him. It will push him that much more and I see him getting a better body, stronger, faster, and even more explosive.”
Kiffin is getting more than just a football player
When coaches evaluate players, they look a little deeper than their football talents. They look into their academics, they get to know the player, they get to know the ones close to them, and they put a lot of time into the process.
Judkins is more than a running back.
“Quinshon is a true student-athlete,” Browing said. “I think that is the best way to describe him.
“He is a great kid from a great family that works extremely hard. He is a pleasure to talk to, he has a big heart, he cares for people, and he is just a great kid.
“He is easy to like and he is a very intelligent kid. Quinshon is fun to talk to and they are going to love him at Ole Miss.”
