Ole Miss LHP Liam Doyle plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Ole Miss LHP Liam Doyle reportedly plans to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Chase Parham was first to share Doyle’s intentions.
Doyle spent one season with the Rebels after transferring following one year at Coastal Carolina.
Doyle made 14 appearances this year and posted a 2-4 record after 45.1 innings pitched. In those outings, he posted a 6.35 ERA after allowing 42 hits and 35 runs. He did strike out 72 batters out of 203 that he faced as they hit for an average of .240.
In his one year lettering with the Chanticleers, Doyle appeared in 23 games, including seven starts, and had a 3-1 record. That was due to an ERA of 4.15 and 69 strikeouts through 56.1 innings of work.

Doyle will be the latest portal departure from Ole Miss after they finished at 27-29 in 2024. 3B Andrew Fischer entered last week while three other pitchers have entered in Grayson Saunier, Kyler Carmack, and JT Quinn.
That 27-29 record was the Rebel’s second consecutive losing finish after winning the 2022 College World Series. They are now just 52-58 combined the past two seasons as they missed the SEC Tournament last year and were one-and-done in Hoover this year.
