Ole Miss offers 2024 4-star CB Josh Philostin

Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman four-star cornerback Josh Philostin received an offer from Ole Miss on Thursday. He announced the news on social media.

Philostin is the No. 251 overall prospect and No. 33 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 39 player in Florida.

On3 rates Philostin higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 131 overall prospect, No. 15 cornerback and No. 24 player in Florida.

The 5-foot-10.5, 160 pound prospect has received one other offer from Indiana. He is talented on the track as well, recording personal records in the 100-meter-dash (10.74 seconds) and 200-meter-dash (21.47 seconds) last spring.

Those performances contributed to his offer from the Hoosiers.

“It was an unreal experience,” Philostin told On3’s Gerry Hamilton. “I was just coming off our regional track meet and a PR. Indiana talked to Coach Jack (Daniels) and told him that they were going to offer me.”
