Ole Miss offensive tackle Cam East has officially withdrawn from the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

East entered the portal on Dec. 9, but never committed anywhere from there. He’s now set to return to the Rebels’ program in 2025.

East was a three-star recruit out of the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 78 offensive tackle in his cycle.

He’s played in four games over that span, including two as a true freshman while preserving his redshirt. East did not see any in-game action during the 2024 season.

Before coming to Ole Miss, he was committed to Mississippi State. Lane Kiffin eventually helped flip him to their side, and he’s been there ever since. He will have two years of eligibility remaining to play for the Rebels.

The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024 — the same day that East hit the portal originally. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.

That means roughly 25 percent of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year, per On3’s Pete Nakos.

Ole Miss WR Micah Davis enters NCAA transfer portal

Ole Miss receiver Micah Davis has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported Saturday. It will mark the third transfer of his career after he spent only one season with the Rebels.

Davis appeared in every game in 2024 to finish with five catches for 57 yards. He also served as the team’s primary punt returner with 18 returns total on the year.

As a redshirt freshman with the Falcons in 2021, Davis totaled 360 yards rushing and 221 yards receiving with six total touchdowns. He would carry that success over to the JUCO level, leading the country with 329 yards on 29 punt returns and being named first team all-conference in 2022.

On3’s Chandler Vessels contributed to this report.
