Ole Miss OT Cedric Melton enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Ole Miss Rebels offensive tackle Cedric Melton has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Cedric Melton played high school football at Klein Cain (TX), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1510 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a recruit, Cedric Melton had a bevy of Power Five teams bidding for his services, including the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Indiana Hoosiers, the Kansas Jayhawks and the Arizona Wildcats.

It remains to be seen if any of those programs made a sizable impact on the offensive lineman, to where he would consider reopening that relationship.

Additionally, there’s sure to be a myriad of new suitors for Melton’s services. Time will tell where he ends up, but Ole Miss will certainly miss Cedric Melton anchoring their offensive line.
