Ole Miss basketball knocked off Memphis last season in Oxford, Mississippi with a 67-63 win against a team which ranked inside the Top 25 at the time. That game tipped off at 11 a.m. local time and was broadcasted on ESPN2.
Other versions of the regional rivalry, between the two schools located less than two hours away from each other, include baseball in Memphis’ minor league park and a home-and-away football series which has seen both teams take away wins. Memphis is also a hub for Ole Miss alumni, who can support their team on the road thanks to the continued matchups.
