Monday was the first day of SEC Media Days, with Ole Miss being one of the first squads in Atlanta. Which meant head coach Lane Kiffin was going to be in attendance and provide some laughs while also talking about his team and college football as a whole.

Well, Kiffin did exactly that — provide some laughs.

Fans were in attendance at media days as well, with one deciding to bring back a reference to Ole Miss’ road game against Tennessee from this past season. A mustard bottle was brought into the College Football Hall of Fame and Kiffin put his signature on it. Even though the fan pictured is wearing LSU guy, he can still joke around with the Ole Miss head coach.

You can check it out here.

There have been plenty of other jokes, from both ends since the incident occurred. During the baseball season, Kiffin was brought out for the ceremonial first pitch when Tennessee was in town. Instead of using a baseball, he brought out a golf ball. Like the mustard bottle, the small object was thrown out onto Neyland Stadium after Volunteer fans disagreed with a call made by the officials.

Tennessee had their own jokes as well. After hitting a home run in Oxford, a mustard bottle was used in the dugout as a celebration. Rivalry can get intense within the SEC but when teams can be light-hearted and not take it too seriously, it can produce special moments like these.

Unfortunately, we will not get to see the joke continued into the football season, as the two are not scheduled to face off against one another. However, once the SEC schedule switches up, Ole Miss and Tennessee will see each other every other year. Having Kiffin on the sidelines alone will bring some fun.
