LOOK: Lane Kiffin trolls during LSU coaching drama
There’s never a dull moment in the SEC with Lane Kiffin. Ever since he was hired by Ole Miss to be their head coach, he’s provided plenty of funny and memorable moments, especially on Twitter.
Sunday was the latest, with Kiffin tweeting out a picture of a Louisiana license plate. No caption was added, just a picture of the car. This had led people to what this could mean, especially with the LSU head coaching job open.
Kiffin has been linked with a few jobs around the college football carousel, mainly with Florida and Miami. With the Tigers striking out on a few of their top candidates, looking within the SEC West could be the next option.
At the end of the day, Kiffin is most likely out recruiting for the Rebels. He’s been relentless on the trail, recently going to see On3 Consensus five-star quarterback Arch Manning.
However, being able to get a few Twitter interactions and having some fun with a rival would have been too good of an opportunity to pass up.
LSU has been linked with some of the biggest names possible, including Lincoln Riley and Jimbo Fisher. Both denied they would be heading to Baton Rouge.

As for Kiffin at Ole Miss, they are fresh off one of the greatest seasons in program history, finishing with a 10-2 record. It’s the first time the Rebels have had 10 wins during the regular season, clinching the feat with an Egg Bowl victory over Mississippi State on Thanksgiving.
One of Kiffin’s main selling points as a head coach has been his development of quarterback Matt Corral. A likely first-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, Corral has been atop the Heisman favorites all season.
“A ton,” Kiffin said of what Corral means to the Ole Miss program. “I think that I get a lot of credit for coming in here and what’s happening. The change and the wins and losses and all that stuff compared to where it was before. I would argue that he deserves more credit than me for that as the head coach vs quarterback. This guy’s there when I’m not even in there in summer workouts when we can’t be there. 6 a.m. and all that.”
If Kiffin does stay with Ole Miss, he will likely have a New Year’s Six Bowl game upcoming. The Rebels will finish in the top 10 as well for the first time since 2015.
