Ole Miss running back Zach Evans dressed in warmups vs. Arkansas
Ole Miss running back Zach Evans was dressed and going through warmups on Saturday night before the Arkansas game, according to David Eckert of the Clarion Ledger. It’s excellent news for the Rebels, as Evans is one of the most electrifying tailbacks in America when healthy. Ole Miss is lucky enough to have one of the best backfields in America, with Quinshon Judkins and Zach Evans stacking up as two of the nation’s very best.
Evans has been dealing with a number of injuries all season long and he suffered two last weekend against Alabama. Thus far this season, he’s rushed for 692 yards and seven touchdowns on 114 carries.

Lane Kiffin provides Zach Evans update after Alabama game
The Ole Miss Rebels came up just short at home last Saturday against the Alabama Crimson Tide 30-24. That loss hurt the Rebels in more ways than one. One of the biggest was running back Zach Evans leaving the game with an injury just before the half. While processing through the tough loss, head coach Lane Kiffin provided an injury update on Evans.

“Zach took a big hit, and unfortunately, the ball came out. He actually, as you can figure out, went out with a concussion there and didn’t return,” said Kiffin. “So, really good play by them, and it was a big deal to hand away seven points right there.”
While Evans has been banged up for most of the year, Quinshon Judkins has been busy making a name for himself as one of the best running backs in all of college football. Coming into Saturday night’s game, he’s rushed for 1,171 yards and 15 touchdowns on 205 carries. The freshman tailback will likely be one of the nation’s leading Heisman candidates heading into the 2022-2023 college football season.
