Ole Miss safety Daniel Demery enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Ole Miss safety Daniel Demery has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He did not accumulate any statistics during the 2024 season for the Rebels.
As a recruit, Demery played high school football at Parish Episcopal School (Dallas, TX), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 729 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He was courted by a bevy of programs during his recruitment process, such as Colorado, SMU, Texas and USC. Daniel Demery eventually chose Ole Miss, but it didn’t work out with the Rebels. We’ll see if his second go-round with a new team is different.

Dillon Hipp played high school football at Desert Mountain (AZ), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 987 overall player and No. 55 tight end in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Hipp was a team captain at Desert Mountain. In his senior season, he was named Todd Heap Arizona Tight End of the Year and reeled in First-Team All-Region honors as both a tight end and defensive end.
Alas, Hipp simply the latest Ole Miss player who has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. The Rebels haven’t hesitated to replace their losses. Ole Miss has added 29 players via the transfer portal this offseason and is ranked No. 2 in On3’s 2025 Team Transfer Portal Rankings.
