Former Ole Miss wide receiver Braylon Sanders has been dominating the practices this week for NFLPA Bowl, according to scouts. He caught their attention so much that Reese’s Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy decided to add him to the Senior Bowl roster.

Check out the announcement below from Nagy’s Twitter account.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl will be played in a week on February 5th, at 12:30 EST. So, once Sanders is finished with the NFLPA Bowl on Saturday, he’ll be making the trek from Los Angeles, California to Mobile, Alabama.

The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl will be played on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 6 PM EST. It’s one of the top annual all-star showcases for draft eligible prospects for the NFL Draft. In addition to the game, the week long experience allows players to impress NFL scouts and coaches ahead of the NFL Draft.

According to Ric Serritella of NFL Draft Bible, Sanders has had a phenomenal week of practice at the NFLPA Bowl. His great week of practice not only earned him a Senior Bowl invite, but he also earned an invite to the 2022 NFL Combine.

Sanders was one of the best deep threats for Ole Miss in the 2021-2022 season, hauling in 24 catches for 549 receiving yards, while bringing in four touchdowns. He averaged 22.8 yards per catch–ranking him third in the country.

He made one of the best catches of the college football season when he made an acrobatic one handed grab, while spinning in mid-air against Alabama.

What an incredible catch by the former Ole Miss star. Much like the NFLPA Bowl, the Senior Bowl is another all-star showcase, but this one is for college football seniors. Sometimes exceptions can be made for that rule. The practices and the game during the week are televised by NFL Network so that fans can follow along at home.

It’ll be yet another great opportunity for the former Ole Miss star to impress NFL coaches and decision makers. To be fair, it’ll be tough to top the catch he made in the Alabama game this season. Regardless, Sanders’ stock seems to be rising rapidly and he’ll be a fascinating prospect to follow throughout the NFL scouting process.

Ole Miss receivers impressing in the league

There’s already a number of remarkably talented former Ole Miss receivers in the league, such as the Tennessee TitansA.J. Brown and the New York JetsElijah Moore.

When he was healthy this year, Moore flashed the same exciting big-play potential we saw from his time at Ole Miss. He dealt with a number of injuries this season, but there’s no question if he can stay healthy, the NFL future is incredibly bright for the former Rebel standout.

During his rookie season, he hauled in 43 catches for 538 receiving yards and five touchdowns. His best game came against the Miami Dolphins, when he pulled in 11 catches for 141 receiving yards and one touchdown.
