Winter Garden (Fla.) Jones four-star quarterback Trever Jackson is set to announce his commitment on Saturday, and one SEC school is the overwhelming favorite in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Ole Miss currently stands with a 97.8% chance to land Jackson’s commitment, according to the RPM. Expert predictions in favor of the Rebels were entered in early August by OM Spirit recruiting analyst Zach Berry and On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. Berry submitted his pick with a 65% confidence level. Simmons submitted a 60% confidence pick.

Jackson is down to four schools: Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and UCLA. He is the nation’s No. 252 overall prospect and No. 16 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 34 player in Florida.

“I heard a lot about Mississippi being bland and boring, so visiting Ole Miss for the first time opened my eyes,” Jackson told On3. “It was a great community and the players all stay together. Everyone around the school loves Ole Miss and it was a lot different than I expected it to be.

“The visit was really good and I like what Ole Miss is doing. Lane Kiffin has a history with quarterbacks, they have a high-powered offense and he is an offensive wizard.”

Ole Miss 2024 class in need of signal-caller

Jackson could be the 21st recruit to pledge to Ole Miss in the 2024 cycle, if he were to choose the Rebels. Ole Miss’ class ranks No. 23 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 12 in the SEC. The class received a major boost last weekend with the commitment of Lake Cormorant (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin — the nation’s No. 39 prospect. He would be the first quarterback to pledge to the Rebels in this class. Currently, the top offensive recruit in the group is Nashville (Tenn.) CPA three-star interior offensive lineman John Wayne Oliver, followed by New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr three-star Rahji Dennis.

Ole Miss leads in the RPM for another prospect committing this week. Ocean Springs (Miss.) St. Martin four-star wide receiver Noreel White will commit on Friday, and the Rebels lead in the RPM at a 94.3% chance to land White’s pledge.

Jackson does not currently have a public On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
