Ole Miss trending for two blue-chip targets after spring game visits
Lane Kiffin has made his hay at Ole Miss as the king of the transfer portal, but he is looking to put together back-to-back top-20 recruiting classes. And he looks to be well on his way to doing so.
The Rebels already have four blue-chip commitments in the fold, including Quitman (Miss.) five-star running back Akylin Dear. After hosting a number of top targets for last weekend’s spring game, the Rebels look to be in strong position with two more four-star prospects that are high on their board.
With Dear locked in, the Rebels still have their eyes on a second running back commitment, and Germantown (Tenn.) four-star running back Jamarion Morrow looks to be their top target left at that spot. Morrow was back in Oxford over the weekend after visiting earlier this month, and Ole Miss remains as the top school in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
The presence of Dear didn’t deter him at all from wanting to be part of Ole Miss’ class, though. In fact, he thinks the two could complement each other very well.
“I talked to coach (Kevin) Smith about it, I was there the day AK (Dear) committed. We can both do whatever we need to do, get the ball plenty,” Morrow told OMSpirit earlier this month. “We’re two different kind of running backs and I feel like we can both have a lot of success.”

Rebels looking to beef up the offensive line
In addition to Morrow, Ole Miss is now trending in the RPM for North Crowley (Tex.) interior offensive lineman Henry Fenuku. The massive 6-4, 295-pounder actually his official visit over the weekend, and the Rebels coaching staff made a strong impression.
“I want to get developed and coached by the best, he has a plan for me,” Fenuku said. “He tells me not only what I’m doing right on film, but he also says what I’m doing wrong. I want to hear that, not all coaches would do that. I want to be coached.”
Fenuku also had a chance to sit down with head coach Lane Kiffin before heading back to Texas.
“He’s a really cool dude, he plans on me being there and being a part of the offense,” Fenuku said. “They run the football and think I can be a big part of the plan.”
Fenuku is the nation’s No. 382 overall prospect and No. 31 IOL, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
