Ole Miss Twitter mercilessly trolls Arkansas after shootout win
The Ole Miss Rebels are having plenty of fun after escaping Arkansas at the last second Saturday, taking to Twitter to troll the Razorbacks over and over. The Rebels used Arkansas coach Sam Pittman’s signature catchphrase to poke fun at the Hogs with a website called DidArkansasLose.com.
In another tweet, Ole Miss posted a video of Pittman saying, “Turn that jukebox up,” and the Razorbacks players dancing in celebration.
Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson threw a touchdown pass to Warren Thompson as time expired. The PAT would tie the game and force overtime, but the Razorbacks instead opted to go for the two-point conversion. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful as the Rebels pulled off a 52-51 victory.
The game was full of offensive sparks, with Matt Corral and Jefferson going at it all game long. Corral finished with 287 yards passing to go with 94 yards rushing and four total touchdowns in the win. Jefferson was spectacular in his own right, with 326 yards passing, 85 yards on the ground and six total touchdowns.

The teams traded blows all afternoon in a shootout. The game was tied five different times and neither team led by more than 10 points. Pittman’s decision to go for the win instead of the tie was a huge risk that didn’t pay off. Had the game gone to overtime, it could have been a while before either defense got a stop.
Both Arkansas and Ole Miss were coming off of losses to top five opponents and in need of a win. The loss drops the Razorbacks to 1-2 in league play while the Rebels improved to 1-1.
Arkansas will hope Ole Miss is the last troll job it receives this season as the Razorbacks look to get back on track next week against Auburn. The Rebels and their high-octane offense will try to keep the win streak alive against Tennessee.
