Ole Miss WR Larry Simmons plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Ole Miss wide receiver Larry Simmons plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, he announced on his Twitter page on Thursday evening. Here is his announcement below.
In his statement on his Twitter page, Simmons cited Proverbs 3:5-6.
“God directs our steps when we seek Him and want His direction. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And he shall direct your paths.”
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Most High for granting me the opportunity to play the game that I love. I pray for the Lord’s continued guidance and blessings upon my path because without Him, I am nothing. I am immensely thankful to the coaching staff at Ole Miss for affording me the chance to be a part of the team and for their role in developing me into a better player. After much thought and numerous prayers, I have made the decision to enter my name into the transfer portal, with four years of eligibility remaining. Larry Simmons.”
In the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2022 cycle, Simmons was rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 610 overall player in America. He chose Ole Miss over offers from Alabama, Oregon, Miami, Tennessee, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida State, and others.
