Ole Miss receiver Micah Davis has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported Saturday. It will mark the third transfer of his career after he spent only one season with the Rebels.

Davis appeared in every game in 2024 to finish with five catches for 57 yards. He also served as the team’s primary punt returner with 18 returns total on the year.

A a recruit, Davis was unranked in the 2020 cycle out of Harrison High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He would go on to sign with Air Force, where he played the first two seasons of his career before transferring to Iowa Western Community College.

As a redshirt freshman with the Falcons in 2021, Davis totaled 360 yards rushing and 221 yards receiving with six total touchdowns. He would carry that success over to the JUCO level, leading the country with 329 yards on 29 punt returns and being named first team all-conference in 2022.

That enabled him to land a scholarship at Utah State the following season, where he would go on to have the best year of his college career. He recorded 36 catches for 628 yards and six touchdowns while also continuing to serve as a punt returner, ranking eighth in the FBS with 250 return yards.

Davis is the 16th overall player and first wide receiver from Ole Miss to enter the transfer portal. The Rebels have also brought in 17 players and rank No. 2 according to On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.

Former Oklahoma State receiver De’Zhaun Stribling is among the transfer additions for Ole Miss, ranking as the No. 61 overall player and No. 14 WR in the portal. The Rebels are coming off of a 9-3 record and narrowly missed the College Football Playoff in 2024 but look loaded for next year with their transfer class.

The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.

So far this cycle, 2,293 players have entered the transfer portal with 757 of those already having committed to new schools.
