Ole Miss WR Noreel White plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Ole Miss receiver Noreel White plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced Saturday evening via X. He appeared in two games for the Rebels this past season as a true freshman, using a redshirt year, and will have four years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
White made two catches for 34 yards in the season opener against Furman, which were the only stats he recorded all season. He also appeared in a Week 2 contest against Middle Tennessee.
As a recruit, White was a four-star prospect out of St. Martin (MS) High School. He ranked as the No. 374 overall player and No. 58 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
White is the 16rd overall player and the third receiver from Ole Miss to enter the transfer portal this offseason. Thankfully, the Rebels have also brought in 26 transfer portal additions to rank No. 2 in On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.
Ole Miss is coming off of a season in which it finished 10-3, culminating with a victory against Duke in the Gator Bowl. The Rebels are set to lose their top two receivers in Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins, so the loss of White is one that stings even more.
