New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr three-star wide receiver Rahji Dennis announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Monday night. He chose the Rebels over offers from Duke, Miami and Texas A&M among others.

Dennis is not ranked in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is 6-foot-0 and weighs 160 pounds.

On3 rates Dennis higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, he is the No. 154 wide receiver in the country and the No. 35 player in Louisiana.

“Rahji Dennis… clocked a 10.2-second 100M last spring and a 21.09-second 200-meter earlier this month,” On3’s Sam Spiegelman wrote on May 22. “Dennis’ speed on the track has been mirrored by development at his position. This spring, Dennis has been used on gadget plays and designed end-arounds, and has also been outstanding stretching the field vertically and making tough combat catches in the middle of the field.”

Dennis is now the ninth player in Ole Miss’ 2024 recruiting class. Following his pledge, the Rebels’ group ranks No. 19 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 10 in the SEC.

Ole Miss is building a talented class in the 2024 cycle

Two players from Mississippi are currently the highest-ranked recruits committed to head coach Lane Kiffin and his staff. They are Bay Springs (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Kamron Beavers and Pascagoula (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Jeffery Rush, who are both rated in the top-175 of the On3 Industry Ranking.

“I talk to coach Kiffin here and there and we’ve been able to build a good relationship,” Rush told On3’s Jeremy Johnson on March 17.

One other four-star has chosen the Rebels in Chandler (Ariz.) Basha four-star quarterback Demond Williams Jr., the No. 298 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. Meanwhile, four other three-stars have chosen Kiffin and Co.: Picayune (Miss.) Picayune Memorial running back Chris Davis, Winona (Miss.) Winona Secondary School linebacker Fred Clark, Clarksdale (Miss.) cornerback Patrick Broomfield and Jackson (Miss.) Callaway wide receiver Jeremy Scott.

Ole Miss also has one junior college transfer. Ellisville (Miss.) Jones College linebacker Raymond Collins committed to the Rebels on April 14.

“They have always been real with me,” Davis told Zach Berry of OM Spirit on March 24. “The people, the vibes, everything has always been real. They were always honest with me. Even if it was tough to hear. But through everything that’s what I kept coming back to, the realness of everyone at Ole Miss.”
