Report: Prized quarterback transfer Jaxson Dart has officially enrolled at his school of choice
Former USC Trojans quarterback Jaxson Dart has not yet announced his transfer destination, but all indications point to him heading to the SEC. On Thursday, reports emerged that Dart had officially enrolled at Ole Miss, one of his two reported finalists. On Friday, Michael Katz of the Daily Journal confirmed that report, saying that Dart is officially enrolled according to the university’s student directory.
All of these indications fall in line with On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives Ole Miss a 98.4 percent chance at landing Dart.
Dart officially entered the transfer portal on January 10. He is the second highest ranked player to enter the portal during this cycle, trailing just Caleb Williams. Dart is a former four-star recruit according to the On3 Consensus, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The fit for Ole Miss is clear. Matt Corral is heading to the 2022 NFL Draft, leaving a giant hole at quarterback for next season. Adding Dart would give Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin another very talented quarterback with a world of upside.
As a true freshman at USC in 2021, Dart played in six games with three starts. He threw for 1,353 yards and nine touchdowns. Dart’s best performance of the season came against Washington State, throwing for nearly 400 yards with four touchdowns.

Dart’s NIL Valuation saw a major rise following a visit to Ole Miss
Ever since entering the portal, Dart has been pretty open about sharing updates about visits and interest from other schools. In addition to Ole Miss, Dart visited Oklahoma and BYU. Last week, Dart posted just one tweet on his Twitter account, and it was of him in an Ole Miss uniform.
That one tweet was enough to move the needle in Dart’s NIL Valuation, which has risen by $14.5k (a 13% increase). His Valuation now sits at $125k. Four weeks ago, Dart’s NIL Valuation sat at $56k. On January 11, it was at $59k. Following his entry to the NCAA Transfer Portal, Dart’s Valuation has risen from $59k to $125k, which is a significant rise. His four-week NIL Valuation growth has increased by 123%.
Ole Miss went 10-3 this season, including a 6-2 record against SEC opponents. If the Rebels are officially able to secure Dart’s commitment, they are going to be in a prime position to compete in the SEC yet again next season.
