Robert Cowherd discusses his commitment to Ole Miss
Question: Why did you choose Ole Miss?
Robert Cowherd: “When I went on my official visit, it was great to see the loyalty that the coach has to his assistants. They’re big on loyalty. That really caught my eye. Just how Coach Kermit (Davis) brought his assistant coaches and how they’ve been together for so long. It’s like a family and the culture is super hard working. I had conversations with the coaches on how I would fit into the program and I feel like I fit in perfectly. They have a really great player development program. I just fell in love with it.”
Question: What was the coaching staff’s recruiting pitch to you?
Robert Cowherd: “They really think I can come in and make an impact if I just keep working and playing hard and getting my body right. If I do all that, then I can become a great player. That was one thing they told me from the beginning was if you want to play here, then you have to get your body right and now I’ve dropped thirty pounds.”
