Rutgers commit trolls Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin
After a series of pictures taken of Lane Kiffin during a recent recruiting visit had him posing in a Porsche, a Rutgers commit mimicked the photos himself. Kenny Fletcher, a four-star recruit according to the On3 Consensus, took photos of himself in a Porsche during a visit with Rutgers secondary coach Fran Brown.
Rutgers commit trolls Lane Kiffin
On Sunday, photos of Lane Kiffin and On3 Consensus four-star recruit Davison Igbinosun, a former Rutgers commitment, were shared by Igbinosun via his Twitter. The photos showed the pair standing in front of a Porsche wearing hoodies and even one photo where they swapped hoodies in the car itself. The recruiting pictures drew attention as Kiffin appeared to be connecting with the young talent by being relatable.

On Monday, Fletcher took the chance to make fun of Kiffin and his in-state rival by mimicking the photoshoot and caption of the post. According to On3’s Consensus Ratings, Igbinosun is the No. 1 ranked recruit from New Jersey while Fletcher is the No. 6 ranked prospect.
Fletcher is the No. 431 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3’s own rankings are place him significantly higher as the No. 253 prospect.
Fletcher has already made a hard commitment to Rutgers, despite offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Kentucky. The 6’4″ edge rusher recorded 15 sacks as a sophomore, and in his senior season managed 25 tackles for a loss.

Lane Kiffin on Twitter
Kiffin, who retweeted Igbinosun’s post, is notorious for his own work on the app, including trolling his former boss at Alabama, Nick Saban. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him enjoy the trolling coming his way from Fletcher given his love for fans reacting to him.
“I do enjoy the fan part,” Kiffin said of his Twitter usage at SEC Media days. “I think it’s comical when I jump on there and read things and how people react to things or the rumors that people write. It just gives people a platform to say and do whatever they want. I guess sometimes I do that, too. It allows me to kind of be a normal person on there.”
In his second season in Oxford, Kiffin could teach a master class in trolling. And some of his best material pokes fun at Saban’s use of the phrase “rat poison,” meaning outsiders’ praise. In another humorous subtweet three years ago, Kiffin referenced a Saban quote. “I don’t yell at my assistants very much at all.” Kiffin wrote, “Are these real quotes?” and included a Pinocchio emoji.
There’s a first time for everything with Kiffin, though. Including, apparently, trading hoodies with a recruit in a luxury sports car.
