2024 4-star S Travaris Banks visiting Ole Miss this weekend

Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Northridge four-star safety Travaris Banks is visiting Ole Miss this weekend for the Rebels’ game against Alabama. He announced the news over social media.

Banks is the No. 133 overall prospect and No. 12 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Alabama.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back last visited Ole Miss on Sept. 10. He has received eight offers.

What to know about Banks’ recruitment by Ole Miss

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very tight race for Banks’ commitment. Alabama currently has the lead at 37.8%, but Ole Miss is close behind at 33.1%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

This weekend is going to be a big one for both the Rebels’ 2023 and 2024 recruiting efforts. Other Ole Miss 2024 targets in Oxford this weekend include Saint Louis (Mo.) St. Louis University four-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo and Many (La.) four-star linebacker Tylen Singleton.

The Rebels’ 2024 recruiting class currently contains one commitment. Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star linebacker Jordan Lockhart chose the Rebels on Jan. 16.

Banks has an On3 NIL Valuation of $65K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
