Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris is out against Oklahoma due to an injury, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

“Ole Miss WR Tre Harris is out today against Oklahoma, per a source,” Thamel wrote on Twitter.

Harris caught seven passes for 102 yards and a touchdown against LSU. However, he was in street clothes late in the game after getting banged up in his last outing.

Harris left the game after running a vertical route, signaling to his sideline that he needed a reprieve. Then he was not in the game for Ole Miss’ final offensive drives in regulation, apparently in the injury tent.

Ahead of the LSU game, he was dealing with an injury but was upgraded to probable before the matchup with the Tigers.

This season, Harris has 59 catches for 987 yards (a career high), six touchdowns and 16.7 yards per catch.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin faced a unique challenge as he prepared for Oklahoma this week. The Sooners made a change at offensive coordinator, calling into question what the offense could look like for Oklahoma.

When asked about the change and how it might change his approach to preparing for the game, Kiffin explained that it’s impossible to predict how the move will change the offense. So, it’s not practical to change his approach.

“There’s no way to predict that,” Kiffin said. “Usually they don’t change a whole lot when someone’s been there, and was the co-coordinator already. Even if there is, you can’t figure it out. There’s no magic formula to figure out what they’re thinking.”
